ABOUT US
Momentum Health Charities, Inc. is an incorporated company based at 14389 Hereford Road Woodbridge, VA 22193. For the residents in Woodbridge, Stafford, Manassas, and Bristow, we have considered it pertinent to offer free topnotch dental services. This has been designed as a way of giving back to the society. The program will be organized every November and on selected days, the populace have access to dentists who will ensure they are adequately attended to.

At Momentum Health Charities, Inc., we are on a mission to provide comprehensive dental services for everyone, including those with special needs, in a caring environment, while maintaining a focus on preventive care, innovative techniques, and educational experience for the less privileged.
Aims & Objectives
Immediate Goals
- To improve the accessibility of underserved and underrepresented communities to safe, hygienic, and quality dental health care.
- To strengthen the dental health of everyone in Woodbridge, Bristow, Manassas, Stafford, Lorton, and Fredricksburg areas.
- Educate our community on oral health care and provide facilities and events to fight these diseases.
- Care to Share days to provide care for families to the dental services of the organization
Long Term Goals
- Enhance customer service by offering Dental Assistant training related to client satisfaction with treatment, accessibility, and staff-client interactions.
- Continuously assess client satisfaction from three perspectives: accessibility, environmental factors, and treatment-related factors.
- Ensure that the patients are given the best treatment such that they are endeared to the organization and when they are able to give back.
- To eradicate the oral health diseases that chronically affect humanity.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Dr. Tamesha Morris
Dr. Tamesha Morris is a native Virginian. She is a proud graduate of both the Virginia Commonwealth University College of Dentistry and James Madison University.
She believes in the notion of helping others and maintaining a “patient comes first” approach to her dentistry. When you are in her chair you will be treated like family because that’s what you are. She remains dedicated to life-long learning of the newest innovations in dental care and enjoys sharing her knowledge with others.
OUR PROJECT
Tooth decay is one of the country’s most chronic health challenges even though dental disease is easily prevented and treated through access to ordinary, routine care. For homeless or low-income adults, a dental visit may translate to loss of day wages, missed school, a day’s meals or significant costs like transportation or childcare. The goal of preventive care is to stay healthy. The idea is to nip disease and associated costs in the bud before they become catastrophic. Preventive care helps patients avoid or minimize costly procedures such as dentures, surgery, extractions, or root canals.
Our Programs
Donated Dental Services
The Donated Dental Services (DDS) at the Virginia Dental Association Foundation provides free, comprehensive dental treatment to our state's most vulnerable - older adults, individuals with disabilities, and individuals who are medically fragile. These are people who cannot afford necessary treatment. The program operates through a volunteer network of dentists, oral surgeons, and dental labs across the State of Virginia.
MISSION OF MERCY (MOM)
The Mission of Mercy (MOM) projects are conducted in identified, underserved areas of the state where there are not enough dental practitioners to adequately address the oral health needs of the community.
GIVE KIDS A SMILE!
Give Kids A Smile was launched nationally 20 years ago this year. The first Friday of February is when we turn those frowns upside down and begin the Give Kids A Smile program. The initiative, created by the American Dentist Association (ADA), is an opportunity for kids who can’t usually afford to see a dentist to receive free dental care. Dentists, as well as dental hygienists, assistants, and other volunteers use their time and talents to ensure that children are given the dental care they need and deserve all across the country.
Scholarship for 1 DA per Quarter for Ocean Point Dental Assisting Acedemy.
